Old Savannah Insurance Agency, a Savannah area firm that provides asset protection and financial planning services to families and entrepreneurs in and around Chatham County, is embarking on a joint charity effort with the Girls on the Run organization with the goal of encouraging and empowering young women.
Girls on the Run is a nonprofit organization on a mission to create a world where every girl appreciates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams. Empowerment programs offered by Girls on the Run also promote lifestyle choices favoring health and fitness, and the organization is known for creatively integrating running into their curriculum.
“By teaching every young woman that she’s the leader of her own life, that she’s full of power and potential, Girls on the Run is creating a generation of young women who are going to change the world,” says James Grusheski, director and principal agent of Old Savannah Insurance Agency.
Grusheski and his team are working to gather support for the Girls on the Run charity event by connecting with educators, community leaders, families, and associates over social media and email channels. An upcoming edition of “Our Hometown,” an online community interest magazine published by Old Savannah, will include a full page article of the charity event and is expected to generate additional support for the event: http://www.oldsavannahinsuranceagency.com/Our-Hometown-Magazine_41.
Old Savannah Insurance Agency has assisted well over a dozen Savannah area charitable causes and nonprofit organizations over the last several years. As ongoing members of the “Agents of Change” charity support network, Grusheski and his team plan to continue assisting a new regional charity every other month.
